Job summary

Sherwood Construction is seeking a skilled site supervisor to oversee safe, efficient operations across construction projects in Oklahoma City. The role requires directing crews and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets while ensuring compliance with specifications.

The ideal candidate will have 5–6 years of heavy civil construction experience and 2–3 years in team leadership, with a clean driving record and high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example that safety is the number one priority.
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the project and crews.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and procedure planning.
• Inspect work progress, equipment or construction sites to verify safety, quality and specifications are met.
• Locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
• Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
• Confer with project manager or technical personnel, other departments or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
• Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
• Train and develop crew members as deemed necessary.
• Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner.
• Other duties as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION

This person will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a construction project. The person will plan, direct and coordinate all crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and productivity metrics are achieved. This role is classified as safety sensitive.
