The ideal candidate will have 5–6 years of heavy civil construction experience and 2–3 years in team leadership, with a clean driving record and high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example that safety is the number one priority.

  • Inspect work progress, equipment or construction sites to verify safety, quality and specifications are met.
  • Locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
  • Confer with project manager or technical personnel, other departments or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
  • Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
  • Train and develop crew members as deemed necessary.
  • Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB DESCRIPTION

This person will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a construction project. The person will plan, direct and coordinate all crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and productivity metrics are achieved. This role is classified as safety sensitive.
