Job summary

Blythe Development Co., headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Grading Superintendent to lead grading crews, oversee site development, heavy equipment operations, safety, and cost control across the Carolinas. The role demands hands-on leadership on busy field projects and strict adherence to schedules and quality standards.

You will develop work plans, coordinate with subcontractors, monitor progress, and maintain documentation and permits while ensuring compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil grading experience.
• 5+ years in supervision of crews and projects.
• Experience operating a motor grader and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

Join our team as a Grading Superintendent. We are seeking an experienced heavy civil construction leader to oversee grading crews, site development operations, heavy equipment, subcontractors, production, jobsite safety, quality control, scheduling, and project cost control across the Carolinas.

Job Overview

The Grading Superintendent plans, organizes, and controls construction activities; leads employees and subcontractors; conducts quality inspections; and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. The role requires flexibility to perform a wide variety of field tasks as project needs and workflow dictate.

What You'll Do

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Experience operating a motor grader and other relevant heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ pounds.
