Job summary

LiRo-Hill is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee a Riverhead, NY site work project. The role ensures safety, scheduling, budgeting, and adherence to contract documents and building codes through close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and inspectors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction supervision, proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents, and knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction supervision experience (experience requirements may vary based on project size).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and/or residential construction methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
  • Monitor labor, equipment, and material usage to control project costs.
  • Communicate project status with the Project Manager, owners, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and client expectations.
  • Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and final inspections.

Responsibilities

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities from project start through completion. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards, contract documents, and applicable building codes. The Superintendent works closely with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and inspectors to deliver high-quality results.

  • Compensation: Minimum: $165,000; Maximum: $185,000
  • The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate’s qualifications and location.
