Job summary

CRP Group is seeking a Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale heavy civil, concrete paving, and infrastructure projects across the Mid-West. This senior role requires coordinating trades, managing schedules, and ensuring safety and quality on busy sites.

The ideal candidate has over a decade of field supervision in heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on concrete paving and complex infrastructure work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience with field supervision.
• Strong hands-on experience with concrete paving and large-scale placement.
• Past roles as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
• Experience managing major civil, transportation, aviation or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple crews, subcontractors, trades and heavy equipment.
• Projects valued at $50M+ experience.
• Solid understanding of sequencing, scheduling and field ops.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specs and docs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States.

Responsibilities

Heavy Civil Superintendent – Heavy Civil & Concrete Paving

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to join a growing construction team delivering large-scale heavy civil, concrete paving and infrastructure projects across the Mid-West.

This is a senior field leadership position suited to an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in concrete paving, civil sitework and large-scale infrastructure construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

The role will suit someone who is comfortable working on complex, high-value projects and travelling extensively to project locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day field operations across large-scale heavy civil and concrete construction projects.
• Supervise concrete paving operations including preparation, placement, finishing, curing and associated works.
• Coordinate sitework, grading, excavation, drainage, utilities, paving and other civil construction activities.
• Manage subcontractors, crews, equipment and multiple trades to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and subcontractors to coordinate construction activities.
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules and construction requirements.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials and resources required to maintain production.
• Monitor productivity, quality and progress against project schedules.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and applicable regulations.
