Job summary

Stevens Construction Corp. in Madison, WI seeks a results‑driven Project Superintendent for our commercial construction projects in the Madison area.

You will supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors, manage schedules, maintain field paperwork, and ensure safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in commercial new construction, ability to read schematics, proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools, and physical stamina to work on

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in commercial new construction as a Project Superintendent
• Ability to read, interpret, and edit construction schematics and documents electronically
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and project scheduling software
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job on active construction sites

Responsibilities

• Supervises all Stevens Construction personnel and subcontractors onsite to ensure work is completed accurately, safely and to our quality standards.
• Develops, updates and tracks performance of construction schedule.
• Maintain all jobsite paperwork: daily log, delivery tickets, field work orders, timecards, plans, specs and shop drawings, purchase orders, subcontracts, and project photos.
• Manages and schedules punch list work with owner, architect, and subcontractors.
• Enforces all jobsite safety requirements.
• Creates a positive, professional, friendly environment onsite.
• Maintains a clean and orderly jobsite.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience as a commercial new construction Project Superintendent from a general contractor or construction management firm
• Multiple multi‑unit, new construction projects from start to finish as the overall jobsite Superintendent
• Ability to read, interpret, and edit construction schematics and documents electronically
• Proficiency within Microsoft Suites and other project scheduling software
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
