Job summary

Iconica is seeking an on-site Superintendent to provide leadership of the construction team and drive high-quality project delivery within schedule and budget constraints.

You will oversee ground-up and renovation projects, manage subcontractors, and coordinate materials while maintaining safety and documentation standards. A strong background in civil/constructive disciplines and design-build experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or 4 years of equivalent experience).
• Minimum of five years of direct commercial construction experience in a superintendent role.
• Experience leading ground-up construction and complex renovations, including work in occupied spaces; design-build experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and track critical path dates and milestone schedules.
• Lead weekly foreman meetings and develop agendas.
• Define and review expectations for subcontractors, including day-to-day scheduling.
• Supervise Iconica's carpenters and laborers as needed.
• Coordinate with the field team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with surveyors and foremen to establish benchmarks, shoot grades, and verify dimensional control.
• Maintain daily project documentation, including logs, photographs, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure all team members and subcontractors work safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct weekly safety inspections and document findings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Perform carpentry and general construction work as needed.

Qualifications & Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or four years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
• Minimum of five years of direct commercial construction experience in a superintendent role
• Experience leading both ground-up construction and complex renovation projects, including work in occupied spaces
• Design-build experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, carpentry equipment, and power tools
• Ability to read, interpret, and review plans, shop drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel); Procore experience is a plus
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with othersDemonstrated initiative and a commitment to continuous learning
• Valid driver's license preferred
