Job summary

IC Construction Company is hiring a Project Superintendent to lead its growing commercial construction business in the Iowa City, IA area. You will supervise and coordinate the work of employees, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring project scope, budgets, contracts, and schedules are met.

The role requires 5+ years of superintendent experience in design-build or PEMB projects, a valid driver's license, and OSHA 30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a general construction superintendent with design-build or PEMB projects.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine work priorities and coordinate work activities within the project assigned.
• Coordinate and inspect new construction and remodeling work.
• Collaborate with the project team, management team, and client on all construction related activities.
• Develop and exercise control over construction project schedule and progress.
• Perform risk assessment of proposed work to determine resources needed to successfully complete the work.
• Estimate materials and manpower needed to complete projects.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards on the jobsite.

In this role, you will supervise, organize, and coordinate the work of employees, subcontractors, and outside vendors on construction projects. This role will lead construction execution for all assigned projects including adhering to project scope, budget, contracts, and schedule expectations.
