Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of jobsite safety, planning, scheduling, logistics, quality control and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple active jobsites and help Foremen set daily/weekly priorities.
• Participate in turnover, preconstruction and mobilization planning.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, disposal, site logistics and upcoming needs.
• Visit jobsites to evaluate safety, quality, production, organization and documentation.
• Identify problems early and communicate risks before they become issues.
• Provide timely information to Project Managers and Operations on progress and changes.
• Coach Foremen to strengthen field leadership and independence.
• Ensure work aligns with project requirements, company standards, and safety rules.
• Help develop recovery plans when production or scheduling falls behind.
• Build professional relationships with customers, general contractors, inspectors and suppliers.
• Improve field systems by addressing recurring problems.

ABOUT CONFLO

Conflo Services, Inc. is a second‑generation, family‑owned, union‑signatory specialty contractor based in Hayward, California. We perform commercial demolition, hazardous‑material abatement and related specialty work for general contractors, government agencies, healthcare facilities, airports and private‑sector clients throughout Northern California.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Conflo is looking for an energetic, proactive Superintendent who has built a solid foundation in the field and is ready to take the next step in their career.

You do not need to arrive knowing every part of Conflo’s business. You do need enough construction experience to understand how professional jobsites operate, the confidence to lead Foremen and crews, and the humility and motivation to continue learning.

This is a hands‑on field leadership position responsible for helping manage multiple active projects. The Superintendent connects project planning with field execution and works closely with our Operations Leader, Project Managers, Foremen, field crews, customers and support staff.

We are open to candidates from demolition, hazardous‑material abatement, environmental remediation and related specialty trades. We also welcome developing Superintendents from established commercial general contractors who understand how GCs plan, coordinate, document and execute complex projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage multiple active jobsites and help Foremen establish clear daily and weekly priorities.
• Participate in project turnover, preconstruction and mobilization planning.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, disposal, site logistics and upcoming project needs.
• Visit jobsites regularly to evaluate safety, quality, production, organization and documentation.
• Identify problems early, remove field obstacles and communicate risks before they become surprises.
• Provide Project Managers and Operations with timely, accurate information about progress, staffing, delays, potential changes and customer concerns.
• Coach Foremen and help them become stronger, more independent field leaders.
• Verify that work is being performed in accordance with project requirements, company standards and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Help develop recovery plans when production, scheduling, quality or documentation falls behind.
• Build professional working relationships with customers, general contractors, inspectors, suppliers and field personnel.
• Improve field systems by identifying recurring problems and helping develop lasting solutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• At least four years of relevant field experience in commercial construction, demolition, hazardous‑material abatement, environmental remediation, specialty construction or a closely related field.
• Some demonstrated experience leading crews, Foremen, projects or significant portions of commercial construction work.
• Strong working knowledge of jobsite safety, production planning, scheduling, logistics, quality control and field documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, work plans, safety requirements and technical procedures.
• Clear and professional communication with field employees, Project Managers, customers and other project stakeholders.
• Comfort using common construction, reporting and business technology.
• Practical understanding of how labor, equipment, downtime, rework, materials and disposal decisions affect project performance.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly among Bay Area and Northern California project locations.
• Spanish‑English bilingual ability is strongly preferred and would be a significant advantage in communicating with field personnel.

POSITION DETAILS

• Reports to: Operations Leader
• Employment: Full‑time
• Primary location: Hayward, California
• Territory: San Francisco Bay Area and assigned Northern California project locations
• Travel: Regular local and regional travel among active jobsites, the Conflo facility, suppliers and customer locations
• Schedule: Field and project conditions may require early starts, occasional off‑hours work and schedule flexibility

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Competitive annual salary based on experience and qualifications
• Potential eligibility for discretionary and company profitability‑based bonuses
