Job summary

J Construction Solutions Inc. in the Bay Area is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Foreman / Site Superintendent to independently manage residential and commercial projects from start to finish.

You will lead crews and coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedules, ensure safety and quality, and keep projects moving with minimal supervision. English required; SF Bay Area experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Foreman or Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Strong plan-reading and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing, drywall and finish construction.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and inspections.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• SF Bay Area construction/inspection experience preferred.
• English required; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC plans.
• Independently manage daily job-site operations.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries and inspections.
• Understand construction sequencing and codes.
• Prepare inspections and pass them successfully.
• Verify subcontractor work per plans and code.
• Coordinate rough-ins before walls are closed.
• Identify conflicts and change orders before work proceeds.
• Maintain quality control, safety and cleanliness.
• Create daily/weekly task lists for employees.
• Prepare material lists and coordinate materials.
• Maintain punch lists and ensure completion.
• Provide daily progress updates, photos and manpower info.
• Plan work ahead with 1-2 week look-ahead schedule.
• Communicate professionally with PMs, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors and subcontractors.

Construction Project Foreman / Site Superintendent

J Construction Solutions Inc. is a growing Bay Area construction company looking for an experienced Project Foreman / Site Superintendent who can independently manage residential and commercial construction projects from start through completion.

We are looking for a reliable, organized field leader who understands construction, can manage crews and subcontractors, and can keep projects moving without constant supervision.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Read and understand architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC plans
• Independently manage daily job-site operations
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries and inspections
• Understand construction sequencing and applicable building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes
• Prepare projects for inspections and have experience successfully passing inspections
• Verify subcontractor work is completed correctly and according to plans and code
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough-in before walls are closed
• Identify plan conflicts, field issues and potential change orders before work proceeds
• Maintain quality control, safety and job-site cleanliness
• Create daily and weekly task lists for employees
• Prepare material lists and coordinate materials before they are needed
• Maintain punch lists and make sure items are completed
• Provide daily progress updates, photos and manpower information

Computer & Management Skills

Must have basic computer and smartphone skills, including the ability to use email, Word, Excel and PDFs, review digital construction plans, create employee task lists, maintain schedules and punch lists, and provide organized project updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience preferred
• Previous Foreman, Superintendent or similar field leadership experience
• Strong plan-reading and construction problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing, drywall and finish construction
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and inspections
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• San Francisco/Bay Area construction and inspection experience strongly preferred
• English required; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
