Job summary

IMOCO, Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to coordinate jobsite operations, communicate with field workers, project managers, safety and operations leadership, and ensure project specifications and safety policies are followed.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to OSHA guidelines, blueprint reading, and timely reporting to management. The successful candidate will supervise crews, manage resources, and uphold IMOCO values by fostering teamwork and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and workers
• Ability to make quick decisions

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Monitor attendance of crew and report to project manager/general manager
• Submit comprehensive timesheets to project managers weekly
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople; ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
• Resolve problems when they arise and fill out disciplinary forms when necessary
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
• Recognize and address safety aspects of projects quickly and effectively

A superintendent will be the key person responsible for coordinating several aspects of a jobsite. This person will communication with field workers, project managers, safety director, general manager & operations manager daily. Using leadership skills and extensive experience in the industry, a superintendent will direct the work of others to ensure project specifications and safety policies are being adhered too. A superintendent agrees to adhere to and promote IMOCO Inc. values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company. At times, employee will be required to assist other facets of our business. The superintendent will report to and complete all tasks assigned to them by the project manager.
