Job summary

Spencer Construction is seeking a Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee all phases of large-scale projects across Texas. You will supervise crews, enforce safety standards, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure quality workmanship on earthwork, concrete, steel erection, and related infrastructure.

The role demands extensive heavy civil experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel frequently to project sites while coordinating with procurement and logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in heavy civil construction, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews, subcontractors, and daily on-site activities to ensure quality and efficiency.

Job Summary

Our Heavy Civil Construction Superintendents oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role supervises crews, enforces company policies and safety standards, and ensures work meets quality requirements. Requires strong leadership, extensive heavy civil construction experience, and in-depth knowledge of methods, equipment, and safety protocols.
