Superintendent - Luxury Custom Homes | Carmel, CA | $130-160K base + bonuses + benefits

Build the finest homes on the Monterey Peninsula.

We are recruiting on behalf of a premier custom homebuilder crafting some of the most distinctive luxury residences in Carmel and the surrounding coast. Their work is defined by uncompromising quality, meticulous detail, and enduring relationships with the discerning clients they serve. We're looking for a seasoned Superintendent who takes genuine pride in the craft of high-end homebuilding and knows what it takes to deliver a flawless finished product.

This is a role for someone who runs the jobsite like it's their own, anticipating problems before they surface, holding subcontractors to an exacting standard, and protecting both the schedule and the exceptional level of quality the clients expect.

What you'll do

• Own the day-to-day management of luxury custom home projects from groundbreaking through final walkthrough
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and vendors, ensuring every detail meets a high craftsmanship standard
• Manage project schedules, sequencing, and logistics to keep work on time and on budget
• Read and interpret complex architectural and structural plans, and resolve field issues proactively
• Conduct quality-control inspections at every phase, with particular attention to high-end finishes and custom detailing
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite in full compliance with all codes and regulations
• Serve as a professional, trusted point of contact for architects, designers, clients, and inspectors

What you bring

• 5 or more years as a Superintendent in luxury or high-end custom residential construction
• A proven eye for quality. You notice the eighth-inch, and you know when a finish isn't right
• Deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and high-end finish work
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to command a jobsite while keeping trades and clients aligned
• Fluency in reading detailed plans and specifications
• Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management tools
• A calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure and an unwavering commitment to doing it right
