Job summary

Crowne Plaza Lansing is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver food and beverages with warmth and professionalism. Shifts typically run 6 AM–2 PM, with responsibilities spanning guest orders, safety, and clean, welcoming service. This role emphasizes guest engagement and adherence to ServSafe protocols.

The position requires basic reading, writing, and math, plus flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior hospitality experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months of prior food service experience preferred.
• Must be at the minimum age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders and serve food and beverages using established Hotel standards.
• Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service should cease.
• Check identifications for guests appearing under 40 years old.
• Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impairment.
• Clean and maintain workspace and dining areas.
• Perform pre- and post-shift duties including cleaning and stocking.
• Follow hotel safety protocols and report incidents to the Restaurant Manager.
