McMenamins Sunnyside Pub is hiring a Server to provide friendly, knowledgeable service in a busy pub setting. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining tables and stations.

The role requires multitasking, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a current food handlers card and OLCC card, be 21+, and have prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks from opening to closing in a fast-paced environment
• Greet customers and seat them or direct seating
• Take orders and deliver food and beverages, including beer, wine and spirits
• Buss tables and restock supplies, balance cash receipts at end of shift
• Operate POS system and collect payments
• Work indoors and outdoors as needed
• Work well independently and as part of a team

Description of the Position:

In general, every Server employee will be asked to handle every task from opening to closing in a multi-tasking environment. Duties include but are not limited to: greeting incoming customers; working with the host station in seating guests or directing them to choose their preferred seating; providing a level of knowledgeable service to tables; taking food and beverage orders; delivering products in a timely manner; serving food, serving beer, wine and spirits; bussing tables and restocking supplies; place orders on a POS system collecting payment; dishwashing, general cleaning, working outside and indoors; maintaining customer relations with all guests; set up and breakdown of service and work areas so they are well stocked and organized for efficient and safe service. Servers will be organized, responsible for balancing bookwork at the end of every shift, and turn in all appropriate cash and non-cash receipts. Being a server can be hard physical work, requires mental agility, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. A server must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
