Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a dependable Assistant Mill Operator for Day and Night shifts in a fast-paced production environment. This role supports the Machine Operator II and may take on supervisory duties in their absence.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in manufacturing or food production.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in dusty, non-climate-controlled areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high sanitation standards in assigned areas.
• Operate and maintain production equipment as needed.
• Load/unload tandem trucks at elevator and storage sites.
• Assist in training team members and learning Operator II duties.
• Monitor grain handling equipment and storage site bin levels.
• Bag sunflower products in 25–50 lb bags continuously.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Uphold personal and environmental safety standards.
• Communicate clearly across departments and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Operator II.
