Job summary

East Gate Church in Albuquerque is seeking a part-time Sunday School Teacher for the School Age Classroom to engage children with Scripture through interactive lessons on Sundays.

The role runs Sundays 9:00am–12:00pm onsite, with pay of $21.00–$25.00 per hour. CPR/First Aid certification is required or willingness to obtain it, and Paid Time Off is offered as a benefit.

The Teaching Role

East Gate Church is hiring a part-time Sunday School Teacher (School Age Classroom) to help children engage Scripture in a way they can understand and apply. This role exists to support families by providing consistent, Christ-centered teaching on Sunday mornings.

Schedule: Sundays 9:00am–12:00pm (onsite, Albuquerque).

Pay: $21.00–$25.00/hour.

Sunday Morning Flow

You arrive at 9:00AM to open the School Age room, straighten the space, lay out activities and snacks, and pause to pray over the kids and their families. As check-in begins, you greet parents, note allergies or special instructions, and help children settle.

The morning moves between simple routines and joyful moments—an interactive Bible lesson, conversation, and play—while you stay alert to transitions and reach out to ministry leadership if a parent needs to be contacted.

At pick-up, you confirm each child is released to the right adult, share a highlight from the morning, then close out by sanitizing and resetting the classroom for next week.
