Job summary

East Gate Kids is seeking a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for the Infant/Toddler Class to help shape children's experiences with Jesus. In this role, you’ll create a secure, loving environment where infants and toddlers can begin their spiritual journey while parents worship.

Your responsibilities will include preparing the classroom, supervising children, sharing biblical truths, and maintaining a clean and safe space for children and families. Join us in making a meaningful impact on Sundays!

Qualifications

• Experience with children; basic infant/toddler development knowledge.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain.
• Dependable, patient, trustworthy; supports East Gate Church’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the room, materials, and age-appropriate Bible activities.
• Supervise children closely while providing care.
• Share biblical truth through stories, songs, prayer, and play.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and check-in/check-out procedures.
• Communicate respectfully with parents and ministry leadership.
• Clean and reset the classroom after service.

Your Mission

As a Sunday School Teacher (Infant/Toddler Class), you’ll make a difference by helping our mission come to life for the youngest families in our community. This purpose-driven role exists to create a secure, loving space where infants and toddlers can begin to experience Jesus’ love while parents engage in worship.

• Prepare the room, materials, and simple, age-appropriate Bible activities.
• Supervise children closely while providing care (comforting, diapering, snacks as needed).
• Share biblical truth through short stories, songs, prayer, and play.
• Follow child safety, sanitation, and check-in/check-out procedures.
• Communicate respectfully with parents and ministry leadership.
• Clean, sanitize, and reset the classroom after service.

A Sunday Snapshot

You arrive at 9:00AM to open the Infant/Toddler room, tidy the space, set out toys and books, and take a moment to pray for the children and their families. As check‑in begins, you welcome parents warmly, learn any feeding or allergy notes, and help little ones settle in.

During service, the morning flows between gentle routines and joyful moments—simple worship music, a short Bible point, and lots of guided play. You stay attentive to needs and transitions, and you loop in ministry leadership if a parent should be contacted.

At pick‑up, you verify release, share a bright moment from the morning, and then finish by sanitizing and resetting the classroom so the next Sunday starts strong.
