Job summary

East Gate Church is seeking a part-time Sunday School Teacher for the school age classroom in Albuquerque to help children engage Scripture in ways they can understand and apply.

You will lead interactive Bible lessons, facilitate prayer and discussion, maintain a safe classroom, and collaborate with Kid Connect leadership and families to support a Christ-centered learning environment. Positions Sundays 9:00am–12:00pm, pay $21–$25 per hour, onsite with Paid Time Off as a benefit.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and creating interactive lesson plans.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Dependable, patient, and trustworthy; supports East Gate Church’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead interactive Bible lessons for school-age children.
• Facilitate prayer, discussion, and age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom; follow check-in/out and allergy notes.
• Communicate concerns to Kid Connect leadership and, when needed, request parent contact.
• Reset and sanitize the room after class.

The Teaching Role

East Gate Church is hiring a part-time Sunday School Teacher (School Age Classroom) to help children engage Scripture in a way they can understand and apply. This role exists to support families by providing consistent, Christ-centered teaching on Sunday mornings.

• Prepare and lead interactive Bible lessons for school-age children.

• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom; follow check-in/out and allergy notes.
• Communicate concerns to Kid Connect leadership and, when needed, request parent contact.
