Job summary

Townsquare Media – St. Cloud is seeking a Part Time Radio Host to support the WWJO Classic Country Show on Sundays. This role is in-office and on-site as needed, perfect for a creative, organized communicator who thrives in a fast-paced team setting.

You will engage audiences on-air, coordinate guests and events, and help shape daily show content while upholding FCC standards and local community presence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience creating original written digital content.
• Strong on-air presence with the ability to connect authentically with listeners.
• Knowledge of basic FCC rules and regulations.
• Solid understanding of current events and various formats.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfort multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Public speaking confidence and comfort interacting with listeners, clients, and partners.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• High School Diploma (required)

Responsibilities

• Support live, engaging on-air shows on Sundays.
• Prepare compelling daily show content that entertains, informs, and connects with the target audience.
• Screen calls, manage listener interaction, and enhance audience engagement during on-air segments.
• Coordinate guests, interviews, remote broadcasts, and station events.
• Connect with listeners through interviews, live appearances, remotes, and community events.
• Represent the station at promotions, live broadcasts, and special programming initiatives.
• Produce commercials and support market-wide programming and content needs.
• Identify trending topics and leverage audience insights to generate relevant content ideas.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with on-air talent, programming, promotions, digital, and sales teams to execute integrated content initiatives and campaigns.
• Assist with live events, station activations, and promotions as needed.
• Champion the station brand in the community by building authentic relationships and maintaining a strong local presence.
