Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division in Sumter, SC is seeking a Material Handler - Forklift Operator to support shipping and production. You will allocate materials, plan, receive, and ship, using forklifts and cranes to move equipment and components.

This is a B-shift role (Mon-Thur, 3pm–1am) with an hourly rate of $17.00. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must reside within 50 miles of Sumter and be authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Forklift and/or crane operation experience required.
• Knowledge of materials planning, scheduling, receiving, shipping, and tracking systems.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Sumter and be legally authorized to work in the US.
• No relocation assistance offered.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and cranes to transport and locate equipment and materials.
• Receive, document, store, stage and issue materials to meet production needs.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and material allocation.
• Ensure proper labeling, packing, and preparation for shipment.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness and safety in workspace.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Utilize computer systems to cycle count and audit transactions.
