JOB SUMMARY: This temporary part-time position works directly with young adults ranging from 14-24 years of age enrolled in Connecticut’s Youth Employment Program.Individual must possess excellent customer service, communication skills; verbal and written, and time management skills. He/She should be a self-starter who can work independently, be well organized, able to multitask, and prioritize projects.Responsibilities include: interviewing young adults, processing payroll, mentoring youth workers, visiting young adults at community worksite, providing work-readiness training, and data entry. This role includes a substantial amount of travel around the greater Norwich area. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associate degree; two (2) years of college-level course work in human services, education, child development, or a related field, plus two (2) years of responsible, hands-on experience working with youth and families with involvement with schools or community organizations.

· An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

· Bi-lingual skills are a strong plus.

· Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and access to daily, reliable and insured transportation. Spanish speaking preferred.
