Job summary

Hebrew Academy-New City is seeking a qualified Swim Instructor with current WSI certification to teach and oversee the camp’s swim program, delivering high‑quality lessons and promoting water safety for participants of all ages and skill levels.

Duties include conducting lessons, supervising lifeguards, ensuring pool safety, maintaining pool cleanliness, and assisting in emergencies; the camp runs June 26 through Aug 19, Monday to Thursday 9:30am–3:30pm, with trip days varying hours.

Qualifications

• Current valid WSI Certification.
• Red Cross lifeguard training certification or equivalent.
• Ability to apply learned skills to real situations.
• Proficient in swimming techniques with ability to teach diverse age groups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups.
• Ensure safety of all swimmers by monitoring activities in pool area.
• Supervise the swim program and lifeguards.
• Provide guidance on proper swimming techniques and skills development.
