Job summary

TKDA is offering a Civil Engineering Intern position in its Water-Wastewater Group for the summer of 2027. The internship provides hands-on planning and design support for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including underground utilities, drainage, wastewater collection, and water distribution.

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a water emphasis, proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and strong in

Qualifications

• Undergrad pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience or formal training with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning and design support for municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Assist with design calculations, cost estimates, and preparation of reports and specifications.
• Support with research on materials and code requirements; participate in site visits as needed.
