Job summary

Garmin in the United States is seeking a full-time User Interface Designer Intern for summer 2027 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will contribute high-quality visual graphics for Garmin products and gain hands-on experience in UI design processes.

You will learn to prepare final software-ready images, collaborate with designers and engineers, follow established guidelines, and manage multiple small projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
• Strong academic performance and ability to apply learned knowledge.
• Proficiency with imaging formats, screen technology, quality control, and asset output.
• Proficient with Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, and collaborative in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Learn to prepare final software-ready image files based on specifications for multiple product lines.
• Collaborate with UI designers and software engineers to make artwork production-ready and resolve issues.
• Follow established processes and guidelines to ensure timely task completion.
• Manage multiple basic projects in parallel from start to finish.
