Job summary

Keeley Construction Group in Canton, OH is seeking a Safety Intern for Summer 2027 to support our safety program and field teams. This internship offers hands-on experience in safety administration, inspections, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Construction Management, can work independently and in teams, and demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills. EOE/AA.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist safety duties coordination (committees, preplanning, toolbox meetings).
• Participate in safety training, toolbox meetings, and orientations.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with Keeley's policies.
• Promote safe work practices and conditions per regulations and owner/contractual requirements.
• Assist in jobsite inspections with Project Safety Manager or Superintendent.
• Maintain safety records (pre-task plans, training, toolbox meetings, investigations).
• Complete assigned tasks and projects.
• Learn and adhere to Keeley's safety culture and policies.
• Support Keeley's mission, vision, and values.
