Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our Seattle, WA team for the summer of 2027. You will support a range of transportation projects for municipalities and public agencies, gaining exposure to real-world engineering work and building technical skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with design, modeling, reports, field data collection, and cost estimates. You will work under supervision while using Bentley/Autodesk tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of transportation infrastructure including roadway, drainage, signing and markings.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
• Conduct transportation design and modeling, calculations, and quantity take-offs.
• Participate in field investigations, tests, measurements, and site inspections; collect field data.
• Assist in developing construction cost estimates and budgetary quotes.
• Support permitting, regulatory documentation, and project scheduling efforts.
• Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Use engineering software tools and MS Office to support project tasks.
