Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC invites you to join our summer internship in transportation brokerage. You will gain exposure to the industry, participate in daily activities, verify carriers, maintain shipment records, and monitor freight movement to uphold service standards.

Ideal candidates are enrolled students (undergrad or grad) in good standing, available to work 40 hours/week, and adaptable to a dynamic environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and flexibility in hours are preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university in good standing.
• Available to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Junior or Senior level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry.
• Participate in daily transportation brokerage activities including verifying carrier authenticity, maintaining shipment records, and monitoring freight movement to uphold service expectations.
• Build knowledge of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges to support carrier negotiations and contribute to revenue and margin goals.
• Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers, learning to communicate service failures proactively to minimize costs and operational inefficiencies while providing best-in-class service.
• Learn about the technology and tools used to streamline workflows, enable carrier access to load management, and promote efficiency.
