Job Description Summary

The Summer Camp Tennis Instructor will support Penn Tennis Center camps, serving as an ambassador for the center and promoting summer camp and fall programs. This role is for individuals passionate about tennis and working with children in a camp setting. The instructor collaborates with teaching professionals to help campers develop tennis skills, focusing on court management and safety. The role includes implementing game plans, overseeing aftercare check-in and sign-out, supervising on-court and off-court activities, assisting during lunch and other activities, helping set up daily activities, and cleaning up equipment. This is a part-time position with typical hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., with possible early drop-off/late pick-up. Pay ranges vary by experience.

Responsibilities
  • Work with teaching professionals during Penn Tennis Center Summer Camp.
  • Assist students in developing and improving tennis skills.
  • Focus on court management and safety.
  • Implement game plans established by teaching professionals.
  • Assist with aftercare duties, including check-in and sign-out.
  • Supervise on- and off-court activities for campers waiting for pick-up.
  • Assist tennis instructors during lunch and other off-court activities.
  • Help set up camp for daily activities and clean up equipment at the end of each day.
Qualifications
  • Participation in USTA junior tournaments or high school tennis experience.
