Job summary

William Blair is seeking graduate students to join our technology team for a 12-week internship during Summer 2027. The program aims to promote technology careers among high-potential students from underrepresented backgrounds in tech, including women currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a tech program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, or Python
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, able to initiate and drive projects with minimal oversight and guidance
• Experience with Spark, Databricks
• Experience with cloud technology stack like Azure and AWS
• Experience with open-source frameworks
• Experience in Agile practices

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities
• Collaborate with product and project managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to achieve business outcomes
• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Python, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services
