Job summary

William Blair is seeking graduate students for a 12-week summer internship in 2027 to join our technology team. The program promotes tech careers among underrepresented individuals and includes training, community service and social events.

Responsibilities include collaborating across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack solutions. Use JavaScript, SQL, Python and cloud tools in Azure, with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, or Python.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to drive projects with minimal oversight.
• Experience with SPARK Environment, Databricks, and cloud stacks (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with open-source frameworks and Agile practices.

William Blair is seeking graduate students to join our innovative technology team for a 12-week internship program during the summer of 2027. The program is designed to promote technology careers among high performing individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in the technology space, including but not limited to women currently enrolled, or intending to enroll, in a technology related program. The summer program also includes training, community service, and social events.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, helping other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with product and project managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to achieve business outcomes
• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Python, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with anticipated graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
• Proficiency working with least one of the following: JavaScript, SQL, Python
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, ability to initiate and drive projects with minimal oversight and guidance

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.

This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.
