Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP invites applications for a Tax Intern position. You will support tax engagements, prepare returns, conduct research, and use firm tools to gain hands-on experience while learning clients' businesses and tax needs.

Internship opportunities are available in Winter (Jan–Apr) and Summer (Jun–Aug) with structured training and mentorship. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or related field and must be on track for CPA eligibility.

Qualifications

• Foundational accounting knowledge developed through coursework.
• Ability to perform basic tax research and document findings clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• On track to CPA exam eligibility prior to full-time Associate position start.

Responsibilities

• Support tax engagements and learn clients' businesses and tax needs.
• Assist with preparing federal, state, and local tax returns and workpapers.
• Conduct tax research and document findings to support the engagement team.
• Collaborate with teams and clients to obtain information and maintain documentation.
• Complete assigned work accurately and on time, communicating progress and questions.
• Participate in training, team activities, and other duties as assigned.
