Voith US Inc. in Appleton, WI, invites you to join the Tax Department as a Summer Tax Intern.

You will assist with tax return preparation, research, data gathering, and supporting tax provision processes while gaining exposure to federal, state, local, and international tax compliance. This paid internship offers hands-on experience, collaboration with accounting and finance teams, and exposure to US tax filings including sales, property, and income taxes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Completion of introductory accounting coursework required.
• Completion of corporate or individual taxation coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of sales and use tax, property tax, and Canadian GST/QST filings.
• Support the preparation of the US federal, state, and local income tax returns and workpapers.
• Gather and organize financial data used in tax compliance and tax provision processes.
• Assist with maintaining tax records, supporting schedules, and electronic filing documentation.
• Perform basic tax research using internal and external resources.
• Assist with fixed asset tax depreciation schedules and related reconciliations.
• Support tax account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Participate in tax process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Tax Manager and/or Tax Director.
• Work collaboratively with Accounting Finance, and other departments.
