Job summary

Carrier invites motivated interns to join the Residential Gas Furnace Development Team in Indianapolis for the summer of 2027. The program offers practical, challenging on-the-job experience, and a chance to apply engineering knowledge to innovative furnace technologies.

Interns will contribute to design improvements, combustion safety and airflow optimization, test fixture enhancements, and documentation of procedures, all while working under senior engineers' guidance.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or higher required.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product design improvements, focusing on complex components within new product development projects.
• Lead and/or support initiatives related to combustion safety and airflow optimization.
• Enhance test fixtures and methods used for performance validation.
• Develop and document test procedures for evaluating new designs.
• Work independently with guidance from senior engineers.
• Product design centering on a complex component, part of a larger project, or continuous improvement opportunity.
• Develop and document test procedures to evaluate new designs.
• Lead and/or support projects within combustion or air flow optimization.
