Job summary

Martin Marietta is offering a Summer Supply Chain and Shared Services Internship based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC. The program provides hands‑on experience supporting strategic supply chain initiatives, shared services operations, and business improvement projects.

Reporting to the Supply Chain and Shared Services team, interns will work on procurement, supplier management, analytics, process improvement, and financial operations, developing analytical and project management

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, SCM, business administration, or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with the ability to interpret and leverage data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote safety, ethics, and compliance standards in all activities.
• Participate in projects focused on process development, continuous improvement, and problem‑solving.
• Support leaders in planning, coordinating, and driving project activities to completion.
• Analyze supply chain, procurement, and operational data to identify trends and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Assist in developing project charters, process docs, workflows, and implementation plans.
• Support supplier onboarding and maintain vendor master data.
• Assist with cash application and accounts payable review and resolution of discrepancies.
• Contribute to procurement, financial, and business systems improvement.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Shared Services.
