Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an undergraduate intern to join our Structural & Mechanical Engineering team. You will work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects supporting our propulsion and structures initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in design, analysis, and testing.

The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and exposure to multiple parts of the organization. Requirements include US citizenship or eligible status, full-time availability for 15 weeks, and a passion for space.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application ( sophomore standing ).
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for space.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in design, analysis, and testing of mechanical/structural systems.
  • Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers.
