Job summary

SpaceX is seeking extraordinary students for a Summer 2027 Software Engineering Internship/Co-Op. You will work closely with a mentor and teammates on projects with significant impact, applying knowledge beyond the classroom.

Internships span software teams across Bastrop, Brownsville, Cape Canaveral, Hawthorne, Irvine, McGregor, Palo Alto, and Redmond locations. ITAR-compliant, onsite, 12 weeks minimum, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ months of software programming or development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in computer architecture and networks.
• Experience documenting software and creating system diagrams.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization and unit testing skills.
• Ability to lead or work well in teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor and intern teammates on impactful projects.
• Grow skills through hands-on software engineering work during Summer 2027.
• Participate in optional social and professional intern events.
