Job summary

enGen is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Engineer Undergraduate Intern to assist with developing and enhancing Java-based web applications within the Stop Loss Platform. You will collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, product owners, and scrum teams across the full software lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience in agile development, technical design, testing, and deployment, while building practical skills for a software engineering career and applying modern engineering

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Java programming and object-oriented development principles.
• Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based web applications.
• Participate in technical design discussions and support application enhancements.
• Create and execute test cases and perform code reviews.
• Contribute to sprint planning, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
