Job summary

Stripe seeks high school students for a 12-week internship in San Francisco or Seattle, May–August 2027. You will own an engineering project end-to-end with mentorship, contribute to Stripe's codebase, and learn how engineers build reliable systems used by millions of businesses.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school, or graduating before the internship begins.
• Available to work full-time and in person for 12 consecutive weeks in 2027 (SF or Seattle).
• Programming experience via independent projects, coursework, or open source.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in the assigned team, contributing to discussions and design.
• Write, test, and document production-ready software at Stripe scale.
• Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners on feedback.
• Learn unfamiliar systems through research and mentorship.
• Communicate progress, risks, and open questions clearly.
• Apply current AI tools thoughtfully with rigorous validation.
