Job summary

Stripe is seeking exceptional high school students for a 12-week, in-person engineering internship in Seattle or San Francisco. You will own a scoped project, contribute to production code, and learn how Stripe builds reliable systems used by millions of businesses.

We look for students who have already built notable projects and have strong experience in Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, or Scala, and can clearly explain their contributions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school or graduating before internship begins.
• Available to work full-time and in person for 12 consecutive weeks May–Aug 2027.
• Experience programming through independent projects, coursework, competitions, open source contributions, or startup work.
• Experience explaining individual contributions and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in the team, including discussions and technical design.
• Write, test, and document production-ready software.
• Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners.
