Job summary

C Spire is seeking a Social Media Intern for a Summer Internship in 2026 at our Ridgeland, MS corporate office. You will join the Marketing Department’s dynamic Social Media Team, contributing to design projects across digital, print, and in-store experiences while gaining hands-on exposure to brand strategy, campaign execution, and collaborative design processes.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited college or university, as a junior, senior, or graduate student in good standing.
• Pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field of study.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on an Apple Mac platform.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Animation or video design experience.
• A demonstrated comprehension of the full design process.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in organic social media marketing, influencer marketing, community management, and brand reputation management.
• Work with the Organic Channel Specialist and Organic Social Media Coordinator to learn organic social best practices.
• Contribute content ideas for C Spire and C Spire Business pages and employee advocacy channels.
• Assist with content creation across platforms and formats.
• Support day-to-day channel management, including post scheduling, community engagement, social listening, trend and competitor monitoring, and UGC discovery.
• Assist with content calendar planning and channel upkeep, including page audits and profile accuracy across platforms.
• Support influencer marketing research, outreach, and proposal development.
• Gain exposure to social media reporting and analytics.
• Build working knowledge of Hootsuite and major platforms.
