Semester 1 - Monday, June 1, 2026 - Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (No Fridays)
Semester 2 - Monday, July 6, 2026 - Tuesday, July 28, 2026 (No Fridays)
Stipend based on $54.90 per hour. One sick day is allowed per semester.
Summer School will be held Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for credit courses. Each course is 4.5 hours a day. Courses may include: EL, English, Consumer Management, Algebra, Geometry with Trig, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government & Politics, and Speech. Staff should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to school start. There will be two semesters of summer school as indicated above. Due to building maintenance/construction projects during the Summer of 2026, Glenbard East will hold summer school at Glenbard North’s campus and Glenbard South’s will be at the Glenbard West campus.
Teachers are charged with ensuring that summer school is an authentic learning experience that adheres to the curriculum standards established by Glenbard. Staff will develop detailed lesson plans; instruct students; maintain attendance and classroom control; assess & document student work; and foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
The physical demands are within the industry norm. While performing the job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, talk, see and/or hear, as well to operate duplicating machines and computer equipment.
