Job summary

Orondo School District is seeking a Summer School Academic Lead to work from June 29 to July 30. The role involves planning and implementing daily activities for youth ages 5-13, overseeing classroom environments, and supporting youth participation. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of college or relevant experience, and experience with remote instruction is required. The position offers a wage of $38.00 per hour for 6 hours a day, plus 12 hours for training and prep.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a training or education environment preferred.
• Must have valid WA State driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum/activities to support the Summer Program.
• Encourage and support youth participation in activities and learning experience.
• Coordinate with other student programs as needed.

Skills

Experience with Remote Instruction

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to provide quality student mentoring and coaching

Experience working with multi-cultural youth

Experience or training using Ipads, Google Classroom, and Class Dojo

Education

Minimum of two years of college or two years of applicable experience

Washington State Teaching Certification preferred
