Professional day and orientation: July 1, 2, and 3 (July 3 is half day). Program dates: July 7, 2025 – August 1, 2025. Location: Washington-Liberty. Model: IN-PERSON.
Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds. One year working with students who have disabilities.
Summer School Assistants who are APS employees during the year: hourly rate or $16.68/hr, whichever is higher. Non‑APS Assistants: $16.68 per hour. Retired APS Assistants: $25.68 per hour. (Salary earned during summer school will not be included in the employee’s creditable compensation reported to the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).)
Once hired, you will need to sign your assignment letter and return it to HR through the link they send you. You are not hired until you return the letter. Ensure you are aware of dates and times you are required to report to the building. Ensure you are aware of orientation and training with Dr. Becca Reid.
