Job summary

Cvent is seeking interns for a 10-week Summer 2026 Sales Development Representative internship at our Tysons Corner, VA HQ. Interns will develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and support marketing campaigns while gaining hands-on exposure to a Fortune 500 software company.

You’ll receive comprehensive training to prepare you for a rewarding sales career, with expectations to work about 40 hours per week and to graduate around May 2028.

Qualifications

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market products.
• Provide prompt, accurate, friendly customer service.
• Assist with product information for prospective customers.
• Identify and qualify potential prospects.
• Drive traffic to seminars and online demos.
• Assist marketing with campaigns and lead collection.
• Create a Cvent Proposal Project for end-of-summer review.
• Create PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports for sales management as needed.
• Assist senior Sales & Marketing management on projects.
• Photocopying, scanning, and printing of documents.
• Sales operations and admin duties as needed.
• Currently enrolled in college with plans to graduate in or around May 2028 (summer between Junior & Senior year).
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week.
• Ability to commute to our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA.

Responsibilities

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service
• Assist with providing product information to prospective customers
• Facilitate identification and qualifying potential prospects
• Drive traffic to Cvent seminars and online product demonstrations
• Assist marketing with campaign strategies and the collection of leads
• Create a Cvent Proposal Project that will be presented to Sales Management at your end‑of‑summer review
• Create PowerPoint presentations and Excel reports for sales management as needed
• Assist Cvent’s Senior Management of Sales and Marketing by organizing and carrying out sales‑related projects
• Photocopying, scanning, and printing of various documents
• Perform sales operations and administrative duties as needed
• Currently enrolled in college with plans to graduate in or around May 2028 (summer between Junior & Senior year)
• GPA Requirements: 3.0 or higher
• Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week
• Ability to commute to our headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA
