Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking summer interns for the Fab 9 Burlington Vermont site to support the automation equipment and mobile robotics platforms in the factory. The intern will help build and install new automated manufacturing cells and improve existing automation to enable future deployments.

Ideal candidates are sophomores pursuing Engineering or CS/CE, with at least a 3.0 GPA, strong English communication, and the ability to work 40 hours per week in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Sophomore pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or CS/CE during the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• English fluency, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Support design, assembly and integration of automated/robotic manufacturing cells.
• Assist in enabling manufacturing cell readiness for future automation.
• Evaluate and improve existing or future automated equipment.
• Lead improvement projects and collaborate with a diverse manufacturing team.
