Job summary

RSM US LLP seeks a Risk Consulting Intern to gain hands-on experience across internal audits, SOX/compliance, and financial reporting control projects. You’ll work with a Performance Advisor and interact with clients at various management levels.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BA/BS with accounting focus, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong communication and MS Office skills, and are willing to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least a B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Major in Accounting (preferred), Finance, Data & Analytics.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Travel to assigned client locations may be required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
• Must possess a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Certification or working towards certification as a CPA (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Sit in on client meetings and support conducting consulting projects.
• Preparing reports on consulting services performed for clients; discuss results with clients.
• Traveling to client locations as requested to provide consulting services.
• Completing client projects efficiently within the project timeline and critical dates.
• Leveraging proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze client information and document results.
