Job summary

EXPLO Middle School at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA invites applications for Summer Advisor roles. This in-person 5‑week program runs June 21–July 25, 2027, with 4,000 total compensation and room and board included.

Advisors live on campus, mentor middle school students, support instructors, plan activities, and chaperone trips. A background in college and youth experience is welcomed; training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of college by June 2027.
• Experience working with youth in any setting.
• Willing to live on campus for the full program.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. or able to obtain authorization by start.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor middle school students on campus.
• Live on a residence hall with students and create a safe living environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and oversee commuting students.
• Assist instructors in classrooms as needed.
• Plan and lead afternoon activities and evening events.
• Chaperone weekend trips in the Boston area.
• Take ownership of a designated support role (e.g., activities coordination, newsletters, trip planning, teaching an elective).
• Work with a supervising Director and incorporate feedback.
