Job summary

Charleston Southern University is seeking a Residence Life Summer Assistant to support housing operations and camp programs on campus. The role combines duties of a Summer RA and Camp Support Staff, serving CSU students and visiting campers.

Responsibilities include fostering community, assisting with move-in/move-out, planning events, handling emergencies, and coordinating weekly check-ins with SummerSalt leadership. This student role includes housing and meals for the summer.

Qualifications

• Active CSU student enrolled and eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Able to balance academics with part-time campus employment.
• Wosters schedules to assist with residence life and camps (0–15 hours weekly).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Resident Assistant in a hall of students.
• Foster a meaningful and caring community among residents.
• Assist with move-in/move-out for Summer I and II.
• Plan events for residents and coordinate weekly check-ins.
• Respond to student emergencies and enforce campus policies.
• Support SummerSalt leadership and camp operations weekly.
