Job summary

The American University School of International Service (SIS) is seeking a Resident Assistant for the two-week Community of Scholars pre-college program. You will be the primary contact for about 10 students and help keep them informed and engaged with events on campus.

• Current undergraduate or graduate student.
• Strong communicator and team player.
• Able to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Be the go‑to contact for about 10 students.
• Keep students informed and engaged with program events.
• Chaperone afternoon visits and evening activities.
• Supervise free time and study periods.
• Handle student concerns and emergencies.
• Participate in weekend activities (July 11–12).
• Rotate on-call shifts for mornings and nights.
