The Helen Keller National Center is seeking a seasonal Residence Assistant for the summer in Sands Point, NY. This role involves assisting DeafBlind individuals with their daily activities and training goals. Ideal candidates will have experience in health or education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in health or education preferred.
• One year experience working with blind or DeafBlind individuals.
• Must have NYS Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Assist consumers with training goals and personal development.
• Support Recreation Specialist in activities and outings.
• Participate in consumers' care team meetings.

Connaissances

Experience with individuals with disabilities

Communication skills

Knowledge of MS Office

Formation

Associate’s degree or completion of two years in health or education field

High school diploma with 4 years of experience
